Pacifica from A-Designs brings the iconic sound of 1970s mixing equipment to new territories, combining the best parts of vintage preamps with modern technology. The streamlined design gives you exactly what you need to get a fantastically full sound with lots of body that stands out in the mix. Use the Pacifica with either XLR or the front panel High-Z inputs. The high-Z DI inputs feature custom-design input and output transformers that give a deep and rich tone. Both channels feature +48V phantom power for use with condenser microphones, as well as a -20dB pad and a phase reversal switch. Pacifica features an impressive frequency response, from 9Hz-101kHz with less than 1% distortion. Due to this, Pacifica provides both defined and punchy low-end and harmonic content over the range of human hearing for a more realistic and present sound throughout its range. During the design process, long-time industry veterans "ear-tested" the sound of Pacifica, informing and refining the sound to create a modern classic.
