Ditch the dongle with full size 5-pin MIDI ins and outs; CV outputs for pitch, gate, and mod wheel gives you more direct control over modular equipment, and the 3.5mm clock in and out ports makes it a breeze to sync with devices. Sync you will want, as the MPK Plus boasts an onboard arpeggiator with step sequencer that can be edited on-the-fly, plus each step can hold 8 notes of polyphony, or 16 notes per drum step.
