Animal Factory Orobas II

Orobas II from Animal Factory Amplification is a two-channel Eurorack tube amplifier module with a huge sound, covering the spectrum from warm fuzz to full-on distortion. Each channel features two inputs with dedicated gain controls and an output volume control. You can also select whether the two channels run in parallel or in series, allowing for a wide variety of uses from stereo processing to intense serial distortions.

The screen offset and CV control determine both the gain and tonal characteristics of your sound. Use the supress CV input to direct electrons reflected from the anode back to the anode. The knob works best in the negative position, which attenuates overtones. Positive CV's effects are limited, but negative CV adds a ducking effect and effectively switches off the tube. Evocation controls the feedback of the second output to the first channel. This works in conjunction with the plate bias switch, which gives control over the headroom.

Orobas comes with two huge tubes mounted in the center, which give the module its distinctive sound. NOTE: this also means that the module does require an external 12V adapter to function. One is included in the box.
