Faithful to the brand's impeccable sonic aesthetic, the 529 offers a plethora of features that make it an excellent choice for a variety of applications without sacrificing the clarity and transparency of the original signal. Continuously variable, and detented Gain, Threshold, Attack, Ratio and Release controls offer a balanced combination of flexibility and precision to facilitate any number of desired effects, while a convenient feature like an automatic make-up gain ensures that the signal level remains optimal at all times. Additionally, 529 can be set to either feed-back or feed-forward operation mode to bring out vintage or modern compression characteristics respectively.
