Connect your analog signals to the digital domain with the powerful A2D from API, a dual microphone/line preamp with two channels of pristine analog to digital conversion with sample rates up to 192kHz. The A2D's intelligent gain staging architecture allows you to drive the preamp circuit to taste, facilitating everything from clean gain to pleasant overdrive before heading into the converter circuit. A post-preamp, pre-converter insert point on each channel allows you to bring other signal processing devices such as compressors and equalizers into your chain before they hit the converters.

The converters themsleves have dedicated level controls and calibrated, 20-segement LED meters, allowing you to accurately dial in the levels for your program—a useful addition, especially if you're driving the preamps hard or running things through a dynamics or equalization tool. As is to be expected from API, in the A2D's preamps you'll find the very same all-discrete circuitry that graces API's console channel strips, 500 series units, and rackmount units like the 3124V, giving the A2D plenty of that punchy, analog character that API is known for.
