Stunning in both looks and sound, Audient's iD44 MkII builds on the phenomenal featureset of the first version to provide unmatched recording capabilities. Still offering up to 20 input channels and 24 output channels, the new iD44 improves the performance of the already solid-converters, adds audio loopback capabilities, and tricks out the aesthetic in a fresh smoke grey finish.

iD44 provides four Audient Console preamps, with the same circuit as found in their ASP8024-HE console, applying a subtle but impactful hint of analog flavor to your signals. Inputs one and two also offer insert loops, meaning that you can apply outboard gear and effects to your signal after the preamp, but before hitting the converters. Tracking guitars or bass instead? Use the front panel JFET instrument inputs, giving a vibe not unlike a quality tube amplifier to provide an extra bit of sparkle

In terms of outputs, two pairs of TRS line outs beam audio to your monitors or other tools in your studio. The dual headphone outputs return, but now channel one provides a 3.5mm jack, meaning that if you need to have a third person listen in or you lost your 1/4" adapter again, there's always a way to listen. Highly expandable, iD44 also supports up to 16 additional input and output channels with optical ADAT, plus BNC word clock out for tight synchronization.

More than just an interface, iD44 goes above and beyond to transform your computer recording workflow. New to this MkII version is audio loopback, a vital feature for streaming, podcasting, and other contemporary content creation platforms. On top of this, Audient built console-style workflow enhancements into the iD44, supporting assignable monitoring features to the top-panel function buttons. The volume control may even be repurposed as a virtual scroll wheel, which enables parameter control on compatible setting away from the computer.
