From Austrian Audio, the OC18 is a stellar large-diaphragm condenser microphone that is suited for a wide range of applications and will find its home in your studio. It starts with the handmade CKR12 capsule that provides clear and natural sound with low distortion. It can handle up to 148dB of SPL and features both -10dB and -20dB pads, making it ideal for everything from whispers up to guitar cabs. Sporting a cardioid polar pattern, it offers superior off axis sound rejection from the sides and rear, and provides high gain before it begins to feed back.

Its wide frequency response ranges from 20Hz–20kHz and captures sound with astonishing clarity throughout its range. Three switchable high pass filters are available, with 40Hz, 80Hz, and 160Hz able to be selected from the microphone itself, letting you tailor the sound to your needs.

OC18s are precision matched within a 1dB tolerance to other OC18 and OC818 microphones, making them ideal for stereo usage. Continuing the Viennese tradition of high quality microphones, Austrian Audio has produced a fantastic microphone that can be used with just about anything.
