Bastl MicroGranny Monolith

Back again in its sleekest package yet, Bastl's MicroGranny Monolith is a mechanically upgraded version of the beloved lo-fi granular sampler that retains the same functionality as the 2.0 version. The MicroGranny allows you to manipulate a sample's pitch and playback timing independently of each other, thanks to the power of granular synthesis. MicroGranny keeps things simple though and limits grain generation to just one at a time, all while running at a crispy 8-bit fidelity for some lovable noise and crunch. Not a source of pristine grain clouds or cutting-edge time-stretching algorithms, MicroGranny fully embraces the charm of glitch and grime.

MicroGranny puts six samples at your fingertips for immediate mangling, but there can be up to 60 presets stored on the microSD card. Speaking of the card, you can load in your own .wav files to give them the Granny treatment, but there's also an onboard microphone and a line input to sample sounds anywhere, anytime. The two-layer parameter menu is quick and performable, but there's also full MIDI implementation to get grains and loops synced up with your tempo and remotely control and automate all parameters. If this is your first time with MicroGranny, then you'll surely enjoy its portability and ease of use, plus the fresh sample pack from Bogdan Raczynski preloaded onto the microSD card will get you inspired right out of the box. Get crusty and funky with your samples and grab the MicroGranny Monolith today.
