Black Lion's B173 MkII preamp proves there's nothing quite like a 1073; this classic British preamp made a name for itself with its distinctive warmth and low distortion. The B173 MkII is a half-rack sized preamp that delivers a huge sound and follows in the footsteps of the B173 Quad Preamp. Both the input and output stages feature cinemag transformers that impart a pleasant warmth. Dial in the perfect amount of saturation using the output attenuator. Add up to 70dB of clean, low-distortion gain using the stepped input gain control. The high-Z input on the front panel allows you to bring guitars and basses into the preamp and push them into saturation. This preamp fits into a convenient form factor while not sacrificing on the 1073-style sound.
