Featuring no screen, CHOMPI Sampler is designed to be quick, immediate, and, most importantly, incredibly fun to use. Matching the personal nature of its open-ended functionality, CHOMPI can be physically customized by the user to match your own style and aesthetic.

With CHOMPI Sampler, it's easy to capture sonic inspiration. You can sample sounds from the built-in microphone and stereo audio input, or even resample CHOMPI's output to further mangle your work into new forms. For the sake of immediacy, CHOMPI's sampling engine is straightforward. Trigger sounds in one-shot mode or transposed across the two-octave MX Cherry switch keyboard, and easily set their playback speed and direction, stand and endpoints, as well as the attack and decay durations of an envelope generator. Seven voices of polyphony allow you to create polyphonic pads from any sound or trigger multiple one-shot samples at once.

To augment the minimal sampling engine, internal effects processing is available to add more dimension to your sounds. Impart morphable delay/reverb, tape-style saturation with authentic wow and flutter, and tweak a multi-mode filter to emphasize or carve away different frequencies. For additional fun, a varispeed looper is available to capture your sounds—internally from CHOMPI or external instruments in audio-thru mode—with the ability to reverse, pause and manually scrub through the audio buffer, and create decaying overdubs in true Frippertonics stylings.

CHOMPI Sampler sports 84 preset slots to save and recall configurations, plus roughly six hours of audio file storage available on the included microSD card. And thanks to easily being powered from its internal battery or USB-C connection, CHOMPI can tag along with you wherever you go.
