Cosmotronic Peradam

Peradam is a sidechain distortion module from Cosmotronic that is fully capable of audio annihilation, but still gives you a clean signal path thanks to its unique internal circuitry. Unlike other types of distortion that uses gain to boost up the original signal, Peradam spits the signal in two: one goes straight into a VCA while the other is phase modulated, then fully ring modulated to double the original frequency, where it is then applied as amplitude modulation on the original signal. The output goes through a dual-band drive circuit similar to the Cosmix's before going into a soft clipper. With the Feedback slider you can get the module to self oscillate, or simply stumble upon outrageous sounds. By using a sidechain to affect the signal, you get surprisingly clean audio with only the distortion you want.
