Dangerous Music's 2-Bus-XT Summing Mixer is a world-class summing mixer with two coloration circuits and an outrageous amount of headroom. Using only the best components available, Dangerous Music tested dozens of transformers to find the perfect balance of clarity while adding a delicate draping of 2nd order harmonics—enriching the sound in a pleasing way. Easily turn the transformer processing on or off with the push of a button, adding it to channels 15–16 or add it to the entire mix. "Coherence" is the second color circuit and it, too, can be added to 15–16 or the entire mix with a dedicated knob for adjusting the amount. Coherence works by adding detail and bringing up harmonic content as the levels are reduced, making it perfect for adding clarity during delicate sections and bringing air to more energetic parts.

These analog coloration circuits wouldn't be possible without the wizardry of Dangerous Music co-owner and former mastering engineering Chris Muth. Twenty years after the introduction of the 2-Bus-LT, the 2-Bus-XT offers incredible versatility and extra processing options, while maintaining the beloved headroom of the original and squeezing in the six-layer summing circuitry of the 2-Bus+.
