Dannysound Cali

Inspired by Buchla's 258 oscillator, the Dannysound Cali is a modern spin on this flexible and capable waveform generator, adding a few additional features along the way. As with the original, in addition to offering a wide frequency range and both linear and logarithmic FM opportunities, Cali provides a variable waveshape output for great variety in timbres. Just like the 258, you may select between sine to saw or sine to square shaping, but Cali also adds a third trapezoid-like option when the switch is set to its middle position.

Another feature of Cali is the pulse wave output, supporting PWM and slightly different behaviors depending on how the primary output's waveform mode is set. You can also drop the Cali's frequency range into sub-audio territories with the LFO button—all of its waveshaping and other features remain useful here for complex control voltage generation.
