Death By Audio Rooms Stereo Reverb Pedal

Rooms by Death By Audio is a stereo multi-algorithm digital reverb that is capable of a wide variety of tones and textures. It's perfect for many applications including everything from beautiful ambient washes to harsh noise, with tons of tones in between. It can be used in a stereo, dual mono, mono to stereo or just mono configuration.

The large time knob controls the reverb time in all modes, while dry controls the volume of the dry signal and FX controls the volume of the wet reverb signal, both with gain up to 20x. There are also algorithm-dependent freq and depth controls, which control things like delay time, filter frequency, or modulation depth. The six modes are Room, a classic reverb that simulates a reverberant room; Digit, a filter matrix reverb; Peak, a bandpass filter with ambient reverb; Gate, a gated reverb capable of classic gating and freeze effects; Wave, a pitch vibrato reverb; and Gong, a mix of bit-crushing and ring modulation.

An alternate set of frequency, depth, and time controls are available on mini-knobs. The two sets of parameter knobs can be swapped using the alt footswitch. This allows you to cue up two different reverb sounds within a single algorithm and quickly switch between them on the fly. An expression pedal can be used in alt mode and can affect either the freq or time parameter, set by a switch on the side of the pedal. Rooms provides an almost unlimited amount of tonal variation that is ripe for exploration and experimentation.

Death By Audio Rooms Stereo Reverb Jam with Elektron Digitone
The Death By Audio Rooms reverb pedal is a stereo effect with six different algorithms. It will get dirty and distorted if you push the output levels, or you can keep them lower and get cleaner sounds. The Rooms is great for producing textures and ambiences. Another feature we liked on the Rooms was the alt switch which switches the settings between the main knobs and another smaller set of knobs.
