Solid for routing and processing audio or control signals, the A-138j is Doepfer's inverting and interrupting mixer—offering four channels of dedicated mixing with several routing options. Each input has a dedicated attenuator with three options for passing the signal further, be it normal, inverted, or completely muted. Inverting signals can be solid for creating out of phase modulation or even destructive sound design for audio purposes. The triple-divided output section offers a main mix output that combines all signals with a duplicate output copy as well as two single output sections for customized routing. Single output A cuts the normal from the summed mix output for each track used, while single output B keeps the normalization but only offers this for channels one and two.
