Earthquaker Rainbow Machine V2 Delay + Pitch Shifter Pedal

The legendary Rainbow Machine has received circuit updates for a reduced noise floor and higher output, a recalibrated Magic control that enables controllable oscillations and grants a wider sonic range. Additionally, both of the unit's footswitches have been converted to silent relay-based flexi switching, enabling effortless operation as well as the ability to use the pedal's Activate and Magic features as a momentary effect.

The Rainbow Machine is one of EarthQuaker Devices’s most recognized pedals. From its characteristic sound to its idiosyncratic enclosure, this is a pedal that commands attention in all the right ways. At its core, this polyphonic harmonizing modulation powerhouse is a shoegazer’s dream.

  • For standard latching operation, tap the footswitch once to activate the effect and then tap again to bypass

Sound Design on Modular Synths for Animation with Squash & Biscuit
Join Squash & Biscuit—Shuwen Zhao and Brian Griffith—as they walk through their process for creating sounds for animation. In this video, they take a short clip of an animation they're working on and create a foundation for a fleshy monster sound. EarthQuaker Devices Rainbow Machine v2 Guitar Demo
Stop me if you’ve heard this before: Welcome to the Rainbow Machine, in all its synthetic glory! This one is for experimenters, adventurists, and noisemakers. Totally not for purists and/or tone hounds. There are no “natural sounds” that come from this box. It takes modern DSP and uses it as a tool of future past to create real-time pitch shifting using digital oscillators.

Stop? Okay, fine, but what if I told you the Rainbow Machine has been completely re-imagineered from the pixie dust-covered ground up to be more versatile, twice as loud as the original, with an extended delay time, deeper chorus tones, improved signal-to-noise ratio, silent flexiswitch footswitches on both the Activate and Magic functions, and most of all, has more Magic?
