In celebration of their 25th anniversary, Elektron presents the Digitone e25 Edition: an all-silver version of their FM synthesizer and groovebox joined with special artwork and music by the Elektron team. Digitone expanded the Digi product line with the glassy sounds of FM synthesis, though plenty of care was placed into making sure its sound engine was straightforward enough to dive right in but still flexible enough to benefit from the power of Elektron sequencing. Eight voices across four polyphonic tracks give you the ability to craft pads, basses, melodies, and more—all in one elegant package.

Elektron extends the classic four-operator FM architecture by adding subtractive-style filtering, adding a slight analog character to a synthesis method otherwise known for its cold disposition. Two LFOs are available to continuously shape your FM sounds, however, Digitone's true powers shine within the Elektron sequencer. Change parameters and even sound on a per-step basis, set independent track lengths and tempo scaling, employ probability conditions, and more. Song Mode goes a step further and lets you easily craft more complex arrangements.

That sequencer power isn't restricted to its own sounds—Digitone also features four tracks of external MIDI sequencing. Connect other instruments to Digitone's external audio input to apply onboard chorus, delay, and reverb effects—then you can even use Digitone's class-compliant USB audio interface capabilities to record that into your DAW. Deeper power comes with Elektron's Overbridge suite, letting you treat your Digitone as if it were a software plugin.
