Treating filters as malleable building blocks for higher-level purposes, Eowave's Tempête Magnétique excels at custom filter architectures, pinged voices, and unique sound design applications. Born from the design of their Fluctuation Magnétique module, Tempête evolves the concept into totally new directions thanks to the flexibility and versatile routing of each filter. Four filters divided into two pairs form the basis of patching with Tempête Magnétique—each filter core has its own input and output, controls for Frequency and Resonance, as well as a selectable filter type: lowpass, bandpass, or highpass. The pairs, known as X and Y, offer shared modulaton inputs and sum outputs, and with switches for series and parallel routing configurations they're easily stacked together for steeper slopes or bandpass/notch responses. And between the cross modulation and built-in envelope follower, there's no shortage of create ways to build patches with Tempête Magnétique.
