The Clarett 2Pre+ by Focusrite is an updated version of their classic Clarett series audio interface with some wonderful improvements, perfect for any level of studio recording and playback. Showcasing two combo XLR and 1/4" inputs that accept microphone, instrument, and line level signals, the 2Pre+ is a great recording solution for singer/songwriters and instrumentalists. Like its predecessor, the 2Pre+ provides two stunning microphone preamplifiers and the famed, switchable Air circuitry for precise and impressive recordings borrowed from Focusrite's ISA mic preamplifier. Plug your guitar or bass in for a clean and genuine tone color; the Hi-Z JFET instrument inputs imitate the transparent and wide frequency span of your typical guitar amplifiers.
The main enhancement in this new version of the Clarett is found in the independent A-D and D-A converters, providing immaculate recordings every time. And with a completely new D-A convertor, you can hear subtleties in your mixes like never before with an increased dynamic range. Four upgraded line level outputs empowers your workflow to reference an extra set of monitors or process your signal with outboard gear. With an additional set of eight optical inputs providing room for expansion, you can be sure that the Clarett 2Pre+ will complete your recording rig and budget.
