Golden Age Project Comp-3A Jr

The Comp-3A Jr is a vintage-style opto compressor and the compact descendent of the Comp-3A from Golden Age Project. The gain reduction is handled by an optical cell with photoresistor and electro-luminescent panel, which provides a characteristic compression sound. Attack and release times are handled by a three position switch that selects between long, medium, and short attack times. The input and output stages are fitted with transformers that can drive both balanced or unbalanced signals. The hardwired bypass switch allows you to easily compare the compressed and dry signals at the flick of a switch. A fixed-frequency high pass filter is also included with a 6dB/oct slope at 250Hz, perfect for tidying up the low-end on vocals, guitars, or other sounds where that is less desirable. Golden Age Project's Comp-3A is a compact and simple compressor that is straightforward and provides classic compression sounds with easy to use controls.
