The Heritage Audio RAM System 5000 is a monitoring system that provides 5.1 surround sound for post-production, recording studios, or other surround sound applications. The System 5000 consists of a desktop remote monitor controller and 19" rackmount interface. The remote provides in-depth control for the most important functions including dim, mute, solo functionality, plus speaker selection and subwoofer control. The master output level comes on a 64-step relay ladder attenuator with a large center rotary switch that gives precise level control. The components used throughout are audiophile quality and provide low-noise and distortion performance.

The D/A conversion is achieved through Wolfson WM8741 converters with 24-bit/192kHz resolution and the option to select between AES/EBU, S/PDIF, and TOSlink. Not only is the System 5000 useful in surround applications, in stereo mode it offers five pairs of stereo outputs and four pairs of +4dBu analog inputs. The high quality Bluetooth integration allows mobile devices to be interfaced seamlessly with the System 5000. Additional cue inputs are available on D-Sub connector for distributing cues to artists. The two high-quality headphone amplifiers provide detailed monitoring without noise or color added to the signal.
