Hungry Robot VCF

VCF is Hungry Robot’s analog 4-pole lowpass filter in desktop format. In addition to self-oscillating resonance control the unit mobilizes a HM2040 chip, a replication of the renowned SSM2040 chip found in the legendary Prophet 5. Naturally, the filter boasts exemplary tonal quality. Its large knobs facilitate immediate hands-on control, allowing for tactile operation. Even better, since its cutoff parameter has a dedicated control voltage input, users can remotely control the unit using a variety of external signals. The CV input is scaled to behave as a VCA whenever a 5V signal is present; this feature was implemented in lieu of 1V/Oct tracking for added versatility while still keeping things compact.

VCF Features

  • Desktop-format 4-pole lowpass VCF

Hungry Robot Modular Pedals
Hungry Robot's new modular pedals run on standard guitar 9v power supplies, but internally run on the same +/-12v that eurorack modules run on. They can be patched together with 3.5mm cables to make full synthesizer voices, or can be used to control pedals with CV inputs. They run on the same voltage and signal levels as most semi-modular and eurorack synthesizers so they can be patched together with them as well.
