The guitar input channel allows for easy connection from your instrument. With a selection of Pure or JFET drive stage, you can capture your sound with absolute uncolored clarity or with extra warmth. This channel also allows you to switch between Active or Passive modes, making the most of your signal no matter what style of pickups you use. And, perhaps one of the nicer touches—this channel features adjustable impedance, making it possible to further optimize the relationship between your instrument and the virtual world. Additionally, this interface features another input channel on a combo XLR-1/4" input jack, making it easy to record external microphones or other instruments. This channel features a Class A mic preamp and switchable phantom power, making it perfect for use with any sound source. When used in combination with the reamp output, this becomes a stellar way of recording the sound of a real amplifier—or simply for inserting external effects into your signal path.

The AXE I/O Solo has independent monitor and headphone outputs for adding external monitors or your choice of monitoring headphones.
