IK Multimedia AXE I/O

The IK Multimedia AXE I/O is a 2 x 5 USB audio interface designed with guitarists in mind, perfect for use with digital amp emulations. It features two inputs on the front that are specifically designed for guitars, plus mic/line combination XLR/TRS inputs on the back. The inputs can be switched between active and passive modes depending on your pickups. Additionally, you can select between JFET and Pure drive stages for clearer or more characterful sound. The Z-tone control changes the impedance and can range from clean DI box-style to warm and distinctive amplification. A helpful built-in tuner lets you keep your guitar in tune.

Send the AXE I/O not only to your computer but also to up to four monitors and to your amp with dedicated amp output—great for reamping or inserting hardware effects in your signal chain. The assignable preset knob lets you map control change messages right to your interface. In addition, two footswitch/expression pedal inputs give you another layer of control over your sessions. Send and receive MIDI data using the input and output on the back of the unit.

This interface is a great way to get your guitar playing straight into your DAW and can go from super clean to characterful easily.
