Two filters, Lo Safe and Hi Smooth, apply spectrally-dependent effects to the saturation circuit: when tracking bass heavy material, Lo Safe maximizes headroom and minimizes unwanted distortion, while Hi Smooth increases saturation applied to the high end, great for adding some sizzle and sheen to a vocal or lead. Each channel's bypassing "Process" switch means you can quickly A/B your saturation effect without touching the dials, an invaluable quality-of-life feature for the modern engineer. Independent Dry and Wet level controls also make parallel processing a breeze.
