The MOTU 8A boasts the same powerful technology found inside their 16A interface, albeit contained in a portable half-rack chassis. 

The interface features 8x8 balanced analog, 8channel ADAT optical, and an independent headphone output for its 16 ins and 18 outs. Additionally, the interface boasts a 48-input digital mixer with 7 stereo aux busses, access to a total of 64 network ins, 3 groups, and DSP effects. 

In terms of effects, the 8A features reverb, a 4-band EQ, gating, and compression. Users comfortable with operating larger mixing consoles will pick up the workflow in no time!
