MOTU Track16 16x14
The MOTU Track16 is a compact FireWire/USB 2.0 interface boasting extensive connectivity and routing options, as well as mixing, monitoring, and effects. In total, the unit features eight analog inputs and corresponding outputs. In addition, with MIDI IN/OUT connectivity, there are also optical ports that support eight ADAT channels, four SUMX optical channels, or two optical S/PDIF channels.
Track16 boasts pristine 24-bit recording with sample rates up to 192kHz, all inside a sturdy aluminum-alloy enclosure. The unit’s front panel interface is simple and straightforward, with the large knob able to be configured to govern the levels of any input or output. There are also user-assignable LEDs for intuitive monitoring capabilities.
In terms of connectivity, the Track16 supports USB 2.0 and FireWire, with the ability to be powered by the latter. Additionally, it is compatible with Mac OSX, Windows 7, and any audio software supporting ASIO, Core Audio, or WDM.
