Neumann U87 Ai Set

An incredible condenser microphone for vocals and instruments found in studios worldwide, the Neumann U 87 Ai Set captures all the subtle details of any performance. Initially released in 1967, it quickly set the standard for studio condenser microphones. Now years later, it stands up to the test of time and continues to be among the most highly respected microphones. Onboard are three selectable polar patterns: omnidirectional, cardioid, and figure-eight. These determine how the microphone picks up sound and what sound is rejected by the microphone. When using two U 87s, the switchable polar patterns enable different stereo recording configurations. Tailor the mic to any room it is placed in with the -10dB pad and switchable high pass filter. The midrange has an incredibly flat response and a slight presence boost that make this mic ideal for vocals. However, it fits into many other applications as well, from pianos to brass instruments and even drums, performing excellently in any scenario. Included with the microphone are a shock mount, pop filter, XLR cable, and a sturdy wooden carrying box. Hailed by engineers and musicians, the U 87 is an industry-standard that finds a home in any studio.
