The PRM1 from PreSonus is a precision reference microphone that provides accurate reproduction of a room's sonic characteristics for use with an audio-analysis tool. It features a 1/4" pre-polarized electret-condenser capsule and an omnidirectional polar pattern. The flat frequency response neither boosts nor cuts any frequencies in the 20Hz-20kHz frequency range, capturing them equally. The narrow dynamic range is best suited for test applications such as pink noise at a fixed level to test a sound system's performance. Use the microphone with audio analysis tools such as Smaart System Check that comes included with PreSonus' UC Surface control for StudioLive AI and StudioLive RM mixers.
