Presonus Studio Channel
Though Presonus dubbed this particular creation the “Studio” Channel, it is actually much more than that. In fact, the Presonus Studio Channel is ideal for live performances as well. With this device, users get all the tube preamplification, EQ functionality, and dynamics processing they could possibly desire.
The Studio Channel features a class A tube preamplifier inspired by the BlueTube DP preamplifier and containing a 12AX7 tube. This design provides ample headroom for an even more emphatic sonic punch.
On top of all that, the Studio Channel boasts an integrated VCA compressor that provides inherent musicality and a quick attack response. There’s also a backlit VU meter for quick visual indication of the output gain, and a three-band EQ that affords creamy highs, punchy lows, and transparent mids. Additionally, the midrange is entirely parametric and enjoys variable Q response. Users can configure the EQ to function either pre- or post-compressor.
