Prism Sound Atlas

Atlas from Prism Sound is a brilliant audio interface centerpiece or expansion unit for recording and monitoring with ultimate clarity and pristine sonic fidelity. Offering tons of analog and digital options, Atlas provides all the means for you to route multiple microphones, instruments, and line level signals throughout your studio. The eight analog inputs offer XLR/TRS 1/4" combo jacks for micing a kit or recording tons of synths and drum machines, while the first two inputs also have TS 1/4" jacks on the front to track your bass and guitar with stellar Hi-Z performance.

The instrument and microphone preamps provide 1dB incremental gain control from 10dB to 65dB for finesse and ease of use, while all inputs share a stellar Dynamic Range of up to 116dB and total harmonic distortion down to -117dB—loads of headroom! The eight line outputs are great for sending out to outboard processors as well as monitoring and mixing over several speakers, and the additional two headphone outputs can power any impedance with ease and transparency.

Equivalently amazing is the digital I/O of Atlas, sporting synchronization options over Word Clock, full MIDI 5-pin DIN, and USB type-B as well as audio expansion via the RCA and optical TOSLINK jacks as well as an MDIO slot for use with Dante or Pro Tools HDX. Easily connect your Atlas to PC or Mac via the USB with full control over the unit via the included Atlas Controller software for easy and savable routing configurations. You also have immediate access to tons of operations on the front panel including individual overkiller circuits per analog input, introducing much preferred soft-clipping to avoid nasty digital clipping.

And of course, we cannot forget to mention those one-for-one representations via Prism Sound's renowned AD and DA converters, sporting fantastic jitter-rejection with unparalleled digital clocking. For even more protection Prism Sound's Verifile software tool will help monitor your recorded and streamed signals for any imperfections to the sample for clicks, errors, and dropouts—you can be sure to have perfect takes without any compromise on actual performance! Prism Sound's Atlas is just as much an all-in-one solution as much as a great addition for any professional studio looking for the clearest recordings, mixes, and masters.
