Qu-Bit Electronix Aurora

Combining reverb and spectral manipulation into a totally unique effect, the Qu-Bit Aurora allows for lush reverbs and spectral transformation of incoming audio. Seamlessly combining a phase vocoder engine and a unique reverb algorithm, Aurora provides shaping of an audio signals time and frequency components like no other module.

Aurora's reverb time goes from tiny room reflections to infinite reverbs for huge washes. Time allows you to smear transients and Blur pulls apart spectral content of the incoming sound, while Warp applies frequency domain pitch shifting to the signal. Because Aurora uses an FFT process that uses spectral bands as its filtering method, Atmosphere further manipulates the audio signal, both filtering and adding harmonic content to the signal. Freeze the harmonic spectra of any signal and Reverse the audio feeding into the reverb using the buttons or gate signals—great for sequence-driven reverb freezing and gating-style effects.

Aurora is another fantastic module built on Electrosmith's Daisy platform, and supports a number of customizable configurations. Change the internal routing of the Phase Vocoder and Reverb sections, or flash entirely new firmwares to change the function of the module entirely. Use Aurora as an end of chain effect to add space and ambience, or use it for a powerful sound design tool capable of spectral transformations.

Aurora Tutorial 1: Getting Started
Aurora uses a phase vocoder audio engine which separates the input signal's time and pitch domains. By blurring these signals you can achieve beautiful time-stretched tails, or cybernetic metallic effects.

Since Aurora’s sonic response is entirely dependent on the input signal, no two patches will sound alike, lending itself to an infinite world of surprise and discovery.
