Radial Engineering Firefly

The Firefly, from Radial, is a tube DI box that is ideal for use on the stage or in the studio. It is essentially a synthesis of Radial’s zero negative feedback class-A front end and a 12AX7 tube drive circuit. Combine these two features with Radial’s proprietary transformer-coupled output and its easy to see why the Firefly is one of the most distinctly warm DIs on the market.

The unit features A and B instrument inputs with corresponding level controls that make it easy to facilitate changes while performing. For example, using the Firefly allows artists to alternate between two separate instruments while delivering a sustained signal to both the PA and amplifier. Switching does not necessary have to be accomplished via the front panel switches, convenient as they may be. No, users can utilize the JR2 control to achieve this function remotely. The control connects to the Firefly via unbalanced cable and affords a simple means of muting signals, providing ample time for live adjustments.
