Interfacing exclusively with Mac OS, the SW8-USB makes setting up a main and back-up computer simple and safe for cautious redundancy. Each channel offers three different ways to output your eight channels, be it 1/4" TRS, DB-25, or even XLR with engageable ground lift, and additionally the XLR outputs can push either microphone or line-level signals for whatever use you need.

Controlling the unit is easy to do via the front-facing control monitor section as well as possibilities to connect to Radial's proprietary JR-1 or JR-2 for clean and fast foot-switching. Synchronization of playback and auto-switching over both computers can be sent in a multitude of ways, be it externally from a MIDI controller or internally via MTC or a tone over S/PDIF, and determining auto-switch relies on both the front and rear recessed switches. Even while in auto-switching mode, SW8-USB offers manual control over locking to input A via the standby button, and if an error should occur in playback, you'll be notified via the Alarm LED in which you can always reset back if the issue is fixed.
