The legacy of Rupert Neve's renowned diode bridge compressor designs lives on with the 535, a 500-series adaptation of a compression circuit developed for the Shelford Channel. With nearly 50 years of further design experience gained since the original diode bridge compressors were released, the 535 is a refined, modern take on a classic design with more dynamics and more control. And thanks to its 500-series form factor, this is a highly compact, flexible compressor that can find a place in nearly any studio.

Every control is stepped, making settings recall and comparison an easy matter. Six ratio settings are available from 1.5:1 up to 8:1, offering a range of mild to heavy compression at the turn of a dial. The 535 also features six fine-tuned attack and release settings, with an optional Fast switch to cut those times in half, effectively providing 12 different attack/release settings. With the inclusion of a sidechain highpass filter, blend control for easy parallel compression, and Link capability for stereo processing with another 535, this compressor packs quite the punch in terms of feature set.
