Spaceman Effects Aurora

Aurora from Spaceman is an analog BBD flanger pedal with five different modulation flavors, capable of producing flanger, chorus, vibrato, and other lush spatial effects. Choose between a static comb filter, two types of LFOs, and two types of tape emulation for woozy, wobbly, and wonderful filter-y and pitch-y effects. LFO 1 and Tape 1 are similar in that they have symmetrical rise and fall times but produce different tonal characteristics. LFO 2 and Tape 2 offer asymmetrical shapes with the ability to adjust the rise and fall times independently. Using the Comb setting, you get no movement, but can manually set to two different filter positions that are switchable with the Trig footswitch. With the Tape settings you gain a little more control over the filter sweep, as you use the Trig footswitch to engage the rise and fall times. In LFO modes the Trig footswitch acts as a way to reset the LFO or pause the LFO while held.

Aurora features standard flanger controls with Regen for feedback the signal into itself, Rate (Rise) of the modulation, Range (Fall) of the modulation, Width, and Mix. Using all of these you can easily get subtle or intense effects that go well beyond the range of a typical flanger. Spaceman's Aurora is an excellent way to add movement to your signal chain with the sound of an analog signal.
