Solid State Logic LMC+ Compressor / Filter
LMC+ is a 500 Series update of SSL's classic Listen Mic Compressor, adding several tone-shaping tools to this utility originally lifted from the SL 4000 E console. Commonly used as a compressor on ambient drum mics, the LMC's fixed attack and release made it simple to get excellent dynamic response from virtually any signal. This version adds highpass and lowpass filters with variable frequency, wet/dry blend control, switchable mid scoop, and a "split" mode that engages a special bandpass subtraction option. Additionally, the Sidechain to Filters option provides access to an endless array of dynamic timbral enhancements.
The LMC+ is not only a compressor: it is a highly varied tool for sonic sculpting and enhancement.
