Strymon Riverside Multistage Drive Pedal

The Riverside multistage drive, from Strymon, is a tube-driver with years of research and development under its belt. In order to not make "just another tube overdrive pedal," Strymon dissected tube overdrives throughout history to figure out what has been done and where it can be improved. With cascading gain stages, it maintains harmonically rich tones that range from silky smooth overdrive to explosive distortion. The front end of the pedal, which utilizes an analog JFET, ensures uncompromised dynamics. Once the audio hits the DSP section, it maintains high audio quality and can take the drive into a place that analog cannot go. The Riverside boasts sweet-spots at every knob setting.

Strymon Riverside - Multistage Drive - Overview
Riverside is the culmination of a thorough analysis of numerous analog and vacuum tube circuits. Our goal? To deliver a new world of harmonically rich, incredibly versatile, tube-inspired drive sounds. We didn't want to build just another distortion or overdrive. We knew we must examine what has been done, and bring a new approach to the world of drive sounds.
