The Tascam DR-05X is a handheld stereo recorder and USB audio interface, perfect for acoustic instruments, podcasters, field recordings, and interviews. On top of the device are a pair of omnidirectional condenser microphones that record in stereo. The interface design is simple and optimized to be used with just one thumb. Functions like recording, adjusting levels, adding markers, and deleting tracks are accessible by a press of a button. Reverb can be added to augment your recordings' sound.

The DR-05X can run for up to 17.5 hours on two AA batteries. In addition to acting as a standalone recorder, it can also function as a 2x2 USB audio interface with built-in microphone. An auto-recording function can detect signal level and automatically start recording. Record directly onto microSD/microSDHC/microSDXC cards up to 128GB for easy transfer of recordings. Whether you want to get better sound recordings when using a DSLR, record a meeting, or make field recordings, the DR-05X provides deep features with a simple interface.
