You've never heard an MS-20 VCF like this—Steve's MS-22 from ThreeTom Modular packs both the lowpass and highpass filters from Korg's famous synth into a highly compact package with numerous configuration switches. Putting the switches aside for now, the MS-22 is streamlined and efficiently parameterized for maximum functionality. From top to bottom, you have cutoff frequency controls for the Lowpass and Highpass filters, Resonance control that runs all the way up to self-oscillation, input Gain control with overdrive, CV attenuator for lowpass frequency modulation, and an attenuator for the Auxiliary CV input.

Once you start to engage the switches though, you start to unlock the magic of what Steve's MS-22 has to offer. For starters, the cutoff frequencies of the filters may be linked at 50% or 100% relationships for instant bandpass configurations, with the Spread knob now controlling the distance between cutoff points. There are also numerous switches for routing the Aux CV to various destinations, including the highpass cutoff/spread, input Gain, and resonance. You can even define whether ACV is applied to a source with positive or negative modulation. Few filters pack in this many features, especially in such a compact size, meaning that Steve's MS-22 Filter is one-of-a-kind.
