Unknown Devices Sawari
Designed to integrate your external instruments into the modular world, Unknown Devices presents Sawari: a combination of preamplification, equalization, and envelope following. Sawari offers up to 40dB of gain for high impedance instruments—great for introducing your electric guitars, basses, or even contact microphones placed on acoustic instruments. From there, a three-band EQ provides everything from subtle shaping to extreme resonating frequencies. By default, each band offers up to 6dB of boost or cut, but this can be extended up to 16dB by pressing the EQ Boost button. Additionally, each EQ band has an individual output, giving you a huge amount of flexibility for multiband processing your instrument.
Sawari also offers an envelope follower derived from the input signal, and with adjustable attack and release times your modular patches can really soar with this very dynamic source of modulation. The envelope follower can be set pre or post EQ based on a jumper on the back of the module—great for making precise frequency-based modulations. Summing the preamplified input or internal contact microphone with the auxiliary input, Sawari's main output is processed through a diode clipping limiter, allowing for overdriven and hard-clipping tones. A great option for integration, tonal shaping, and CV modulation, Sawari bridges the gap with the outside world while bringing a ton of functionality to your modular rig.
