Delivering the heat that you can only get out of vacuum tubes, SILT is a fiery fuzz pedal that simply oozes rich overtones and dirt. Owing its design to a collaboration with Jim Hagerman, SILT utilizes a 12AU7 preamp tube at the center of its fuzz circuit and imparts the highly organic character that guitarists love tubes for providing. Straightforward controls for Volume, Tone, and Gain allow you to broadly dial in the crushing, sputtery fuzz you need, but more subtlety and interest may be found with the Contour and Harmonic modes. With highpass, flat, and lowpass options, Contour applies filtering before the tube stage in order to shape the resulting fuzz tones. And for more sizzle on your instrument, the Harmonic mode emphasizes overtones and delivers octave-like ornamentation onto your sound. The world of fuzz is more nuanced than you might think, and no pedal demonstrates this to the degree of SILT.
