Warm Audio BUS-COMP

The BUS-COMP from Warm Audio is a two-channel, analog stereo VCA compressor, based on a legacy of legendary VCA compressor technology, providing warm and smooth tones. It works equally well on drums, guitars, piano, voice overs, just about anything you put into it.

Analog VCA compressors have tight control of dynamics while adding tone and depth to a signal. The BUS-COMP uses THAT Corp 2180 VCAs which provide unmatched audio quality. It also features selectable discrete op amp stages and three CineMag transformers. With the touch of a switch, they are inserted into the audio path and provide additional tone and depth to the audio.

Although designed for stereo use, it works equally as well with mono signals. The external side-chain source select allows for outside audio sources to be used to side-chain the compressor, providing control of the level. The BUS-COMP accepts both TRS and XLR inputs and has a built-in highpass filter with selectable frequency range. The compression can be switched between A/B compression or turned off for easy comparison.
