Based around the classic, tried-and-true sound of the CEM3340 chip, the 3340 VCO from Wavefonix is a classic take on a stellar analog oscillator packed with stellar shaping and control parameters. With the same chip found in synths like the Prophet 5, OB-Xa, and many other classics, the 3340 VCO offers four classic shapes for sculpting and defining the core of your sound, offering square, saw, triangle, and sine outputs. Dial in tuning with both coarse and fine tune controls while tracking from a separate module via the 1V/Oct input, and add depth to your square output with a variable pulse-width that can be controlled externally via the PWM input and attenuator. Achieve vibratos, sweeping zaps, and all sorts of growly and bell-like timbres with the provided linear and exponential FM inputs, or create tearing leads and basses with any of the three sync inputs with even wave reset via the two hard-sync inputs. With the split hard sync inputs offer even more opportunity to utilize unipolar signals such as envelopes, the 3340 VCO provides classic timbres of vintage synths with modernized features for advanced sound design.
