With their years of experience designing portable recorders for field work and professional audio under their belt, Zoom now presents the PodTrak P4, specifically tailored for recording podcasts. The PodTrak P4 contains four microphone preamps and four headphone outputs, making it an excellent choice for interviews and group settings. For remote interviews, there's a dedicated TRRS jack enabling connection to phones, allowing for direct recording of phone calls, or use the Zoom BTA-2 for wireless connection via Bluetooth. Alternatively, conference calls can be recorded from a computer over direct USB connection. The P4 contains a feature named Mix-Minus which reduces the echo and feedback which commonly occurs when integrating remote audio sources. Pads are available on the front panel for quickly triggering sound effects, music, or any pre-recorded audio clip needed for your podcast. While the P4 functions as an audio interface, recording can happen anywhere, with up to four hours of battery life on AA batteries and direct SD card recording with cards up to 512GB.
